About us

Based in beautiful Georgian Bath, ABC Self Assessment Ltd. was founded in 2013 by a team of software developers sharing over 40 years of experience.

We have a simple objective: to provide an intuitive and clutter-free way to submit tax returns. Unlike many of our competitors, from the outset we have designed our software for use by individuals doing their own returns, rather than accountants or other financial professionals.

Our first product was recognised by HMRC in 2014, and, along with other software suppliers, we attend webinars with HMRC to discuss ongoing changes to the tax landscape. We are currently contributing to work on the next generation of the HMRC system - the Making Tax Digital initiative.
